TUMBLING AFTER Edinburgh Fringe 2015

Its Summertime in London and everyones starting to show a bit of skin,theyre up for some fun in the sun, taking it all in.

So Jack and Gill went to "The Hill" to have a pint of Lager
Jack met Gretel and Gill met Peter
And this tale is the tumbeling after.

Gill thinks shes fine,
Gretel knows shes not,
Jack wants a partner,
Peter thinks hes hot.

Tumbling After , combines physicality, striking image, text and vocal play. Straddling the gaps between theatre, performance art, and a vivid dream, this is a show that speaks to the brain and the body.

Tumling After follows the journey of two couples, as they tumble in and out of love;

Through an ensemble driven devising process, weve enevitably created a form of storey telling that is close to our hearts, stories that lay dormant (until now) in our bones, with 4 years of poetry , written in a shabby little black book, that has seen every tear, scream , tantrum and loved up laugh i have expelled since moving to the UK from Australia , into a vibrant, real tale of two couples and the impact their (our) simple decisions make on our lives.
Questioning the value of a solo mission versus companionship. Poking fun at all the games we enivitably play with one another, malicious or otherwise.

Tumbling After will feature music  from a variety of independant artist such as;

These are all independant, immensly talent musicians i have had the pleasure of meeting.
RedBellyBlack productions strives to create oppetunities for under 30 artist, as i believe that every platform we create should host talent from as many creative forms as possible, and the effect of new music that has been (in some cases) written for these character, will have an astonishing effect o the narritive.
This is my chance to give credit where its due, cannot wait for audiences to hear the soundtrack to Tumbling After

The storey of tangled is told through poetry, movement and traditional theatrical drama. The set is constructed partially from a birds eye view perspective (set design model can be found in my portfolio), the beds sitting at a 65 degree angle, this visual aesthetic highlighting that so much can be told from the proximity of our bodies in bed and our physical relationship with one another, sexual or otherwise.
The Tangled bodies intwined on the beds depicting the transparent intentions,desires and fantasies of the characters.

Themes explored are relevant to people of all ages, cultural backgrounds and gender. Is  being in  a relationship become an obligation rather than a choice? Are we capable of being along?   We follow the journey of the two couples, their passion, honeymoon period and discoveries within their cohabiting lives. 

How far can people go in chasing a selfish desire and actively hurting their loved one?
